This program utilizes breakthrough Digital Wave Radar technology for intersection applications. SmartSensor Advance detects vehicles within its 500-ft. (152.4-m) reach and alerts the traffic controller of their passage based on arrival time, speed and range bounds. Classified as Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar, SmartSensor Advance collects data using a 10.525 GHz (X-band) operating radio frequency.
